Ancient Faith Ministries presented a special episode on the topic of "The Orthodox Deaconess." It addressed questions like: When did the office exist? What was its function? Should it be restored?
Sayidna Saba gave his perspective on the subject, saying that the Church cannot restore an old practice without having a clear history about it, and cannot introduce a new practice without having a clear pastoral need for it.
